The US Collegiate Archery Association (USCA) is the National Governing Body for Collegiate Archery of the United States.
It is the premier organization that manages university and college archery in the US.
They’ve developed the resources and infrastructure to support and grow collegiate archery programs across the US.
The USCA’s aim establishes college archery as a part of the campus experience in most colleges and universities.
The USCA holds competitions across the country in four primary regions: North, South, East, and West.

The USCA also promotes many archery disciplines that include Olympic Recurve, Compound, Bowhunter, and College Basic Bow.

Top 10 College Archery Teams That Are Killing It
Without further ado, let’s talk about the top ten college archery teams that are absolutely killing it with their performance.
1. Union College
In 2018, the Bulldogs were runners-up in the Indoor National Championship.
The Union College archery team performed well, and it scored the USCA Indoor National Championship on the strength of three gold medals in 2019.
In 2019, Union College Archery Bulldogs’ total medal count was five, with three gold medals and two silvers.
During the Indoor National Championship 2019, the Bowhunter competition Union College team remained dominated and grabbed two individual gold medals and one mixed team gold medal.
Haley Golden (SO/Barbourville, Ky.) remained dominant in the women’s Bowhunter division and posted a qualifying score of 1480.
After that, she recorded identical scores of 150 in the quarterfinal, semifinal, and championship rounds and secured the gold medal.
In the men’s Bowhunter division, Dakota Smith (FR/London, Ky.) qualified for the quarterfinal round with a total score of 1474.
He registered a score of 147 in the quarterfinal and the semifinal round to progress into the championship round.
In the finals, Smith defeated Eli Bond of Southeastern Illinois College 149-148 and got the gold medal in his name.
Haley Golden and Dakota Smith teamed up for the mixed Bowhunter championship, defeating the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) 159-157 and got the gold medal.
In the women’s compound division, Jamilee Moore (FR / Mathews, N.C.) of Union College and Jodi Hicks (SR / Gosport, IND.) competed to decide the championship round.
It was a tight battle for the first prize, but at last, Moore bordered out Hicks 143-142 for the championship.
Haley Golden continues to dominate in Mid-South Conference (MSC) competition as she was the lone Union College archer to score gold at the MSC 3D Championships on Saturday.
Moreover, in the 2021 MSC 3D Championships, the Bulldogs placed the Union College in third and got eight medals in all – one gold, four silver, and three bronze.
In the women’s compound, Haley Golden took the gold registering 68 points to finish six ahead of the second-place finisher.
Jamilee Moore of Union College tallied a bronze in women’s compound with a score of 58.
The Archery teams of Union College collected four silver medals in the men’s Bowhunter, Mixed Bowhunter’s competitions, and the Women’s Bowhunter and Women’s compound divisions.
Johnathan Stanley of Union College was the single Bulldog who secured a bronze medal in the men’s barebow with a score of 43.
The Union College Bulldogs’ other bronze came in the mixed compound team.
After this first leg of the conference competition, Union College stands third in the ranks behind the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) and Lindsey Wilson College (Ky.).
2. Mount Marty College
The Mount Marty College archery team performed well, and it scored the USCA Indoor National Championship on the strength of three gold medals in 2019.
In 2019, Mount Marty Lancers’ total medal count was three with all gold medals.
In the Indoor National Championship 2019, during the men’s compound and women’s Recurve competition, they grabbed two individual gold medals and one compound mixed Recurve competition gold medal.
Carson Sapp of Mount Marty College remained dominant in the men’s compound and posted a qualifying score of 1484.
He recorded scores of 148 in a quarterfinal, 149 in the semifinal, and 146 in championship rounds and secured the gold medal.
In the women’s Recurve competition, McKenna Cooley qualified for the quarterfinal round with a total score of 1291.
She registered a score of 84 in the semifinal round to progress into the championship round.
In the finals, McKenna Cooley defeated MOROZKO of the University of California, Irvine, by 133-113 scores, and got the gold medal.
Brianna Notebaert and Sapp teamed up for the mixed Recurve competition, defeating the rival from the Union College 155-153 and got the gold medal.
Moreover, Mount Marty College counts six podium placements in February 2021 during the largest NV archery tournament at the world-famous Vegas Shoot.
Over 3,800 archers from all over the world participated in three-days of indoor competitions.
Twelve Mount Marty Lancers competed in the collegiate division, and five walked away with Vegas collegiate medals and personal and team scholarships.
Christina Winker (SR/Winfred, SD) and Sarah Morrow (SO/Binghamton, NY) of Mount Marty College played well in the collegiate women’s Bowhunter division.
Winker won the bronze with a score of 552, and Morrow got the silver medal with 556 points.
The team captain Carson Sapp (SO/Cairo, GA) of Mount Marty College brought home a bronze medal in the collegiate men’s compound division with an impressive and perfect score of 599 out of 600.
In addition to the personal medal, Carson Sapp played a very good role by making up a three-member team that won the silver medal in the overall team division.
The team included the captain, freshman compound archer Daniel Carlton (FR/Plattsburg, MO), and freshman Olympic Recurve archer Lindsey Bouffard (FR/Concord, NH).
3. University of Pikeville
The University of Pikeville archery team performed well, and it scored the USCA Indoor National Championship on the strength of two gold medals in 2019.
In 2019, the University of Pikeville Bears’ total medal count was four with two gold, one silver, and one bronze medal.
In the Indoor National Championship 2019, during the Basic Bowmen competition, the University of Pikeville Bears remained dominated and got one individual gold medal, during the Basic Bow mixed Team’s competition one gold medal, one silver medal in Recurve mixed Team’s competition, and one bronze medal in Recurve Women’s competition.
BLACKBURN Andrew of the University of Pikeville remained dominant in the Basic Bow Men and posted a qualifying score of 1105.
After that, he recorded scores of 125 in a quarterfinal, 102 in the semifinal, and 102 in championship rounds and secured the gold medal.
In the Basic Bow Mixed Team, BLACKBURN Andrew and ROWE Brianna teamed up and qualified for the quarterfinal round with a total score of 2114.
BLACKBURN Andrew and ROWE Brianna defeated the Blue Mountain College team 103-97 and got the gold medal in their names in the finals.
JONES Elizabeth and CLEMENTS Aj teamed up for the mixed Recurve competition and qualified for the semifinal round with a total score of 2557.
During the semifinal round of mixed Recurve competition, UPIKE Bears remained runner up from the University of California, Irvine team, and got the silver medal.
JONES Elizabeth of the University of Pikeville remained dominant in the Recurve Women’s competition and posted a qualifying score of 1164.
After that, she recorded scores of 129 in a quarterfinal, 69 in the semifinal, and 98 in championship rounds and secured the bronze medal defeating LAURIA Miranda of the University of the Cumberlands.
4. University of the Cumberlands
The University of the Cumberland Patriots performed well, and it scored the NAIA Mid-South Conference Championships on the strength of eight gold medals in 2019.
In 2019, the University of the Cumberlands Patriots’ total medal count was thirteen with eight gold, four silver, and one bronze medal.

LAURIA Miranda of the University of the Cumberlands remained dominant in the Recurve Women and posted a qualifying score of 971.
After that, she recorded scores of 96 in a quarterfinal, 30 in the semifinal round, and remained runner up from the University of Pikeville team, getting the silver medal.
In the Compound Man competition, BOILS Jase remained dominant and posted a qualifying score of 1169.
After that, he recorded scores of 148 in a quarterfinal, 146 in the semifinal, and 47 in championship rounds and secured the Gold medal defeating ISENHOFF Josh of his own University.
In the Compound Men Team finals, BOILS Jase, ISENHOFF Josh, and MOORE Clint defeated the Union College team 236-230 and garnered the gold medal in their names.
In the Compound Women Team finals, CURRIE Tara, MILLER Brooke, and RAYBURN Samantha defeated the Union College team 233-227 and garnered the gold medal in their names.
In the Compound Mixed Team finals, CURRIE Tara and ISENHOFF Josh of the University of the Cumberlands defeated the Union College team with 152-151 scores and garnered the gold medal in their names.
5. Kentucky Christian University
The Kentucky Christian University Archery performed well, and it scored the NAIA Mid-South Conference Archery Championship on the strength of four gold medals in 2018.
In 2018, the Kentucky Christian University Archery teams’ total medal count was nine with four gold, four silver, and one bronze medal.
In the NAIA Mid-South Conference Championship 2018, during the Recurve Men’s competition, the Kentucky Christian University Team remained dominated and got one individual gold medal.
In the Compound Women’s competition, they earned one gold and one bronze medal.
During the Basic Bow Women and Men’s competition, the Kentucky Christian University garnered one gold medal and one silver medal at their names, respectively.

After that, he recorded scores of 61 in a semifinal, 63 in the final round by defeating the University of Pikeville team and garnered the gold medal in his name.
In the Compound Women’s competition, TOMPKINS MacKenzie remained dominant and posted a qualifying score of 642.
After that, she recorded scores of 136 in a quarterfinal, 136 in the semifinal, and 136 in championship rounds and secured the Gold medal defeating CURRIE Tara of the University of the Cumberlands.

In the Compound Mixed Team finals, HINES Dakota and TOMPKINS MacKenzie remained runner up from the University of the Cumberlands team with 146-150 scores and garnered the silver medal in their names.
6. Hocking College
The Hocking College archery team performed well, and it scored the USCA Intercollegiate Indoor Archery Championships on the strength of one gold medal in 2018.
In 2018, the Hocking College Archery Teams’ total medal count was three with one gold, one silver, and one bronze medal.
In the Intercollegiate Indoor National Championship 2018, during the Basic Bowmen competition, the Hocking College team remained dominated and got one individual gold medal.
The Basic Bow Women Team competition got one bronze medal.
During the Basic Bow Mixed Team competition, Hocking College got a silver medal.
Scott Ethan of the Hocking College remained dominant in the Basic Bow Men and posted a qualifying score of 1044.
He recorded scores of 66 in a quarterfinal, 99 in the semifinal, and 112 in championship rounds and secured the gold medal.
Scott Ethan defeated the Lin Allen of the Mississippi State University with 112-109 scores.
In the Basic Bow Mixed Team’s competition, Hartman Caitlin and Scott Ethan teamed up and qualified for the quarterfinal round with a total score of 2097.
In the finals of the Basic Bow Mixed Team’s competition, Hartman Caitlin and Scott Ethan remained runner up from the Blue Mountain College team and owned the silver medal in their names.
In the Basic Bow Women’s competition, Hartman Caitlin qualified for the quarterfinal round with a total score of 1053.
In the Basic Bow Women’s competition, Hartman Caitlin of the Hocking College remained prominent by qualifying the quarterfinal round and posted a score of 1053.

GERKEN Danielle of the University of California, Irvine remained dominant in the Basic Bow women and posted a qualifying score of 1047.
After that, she recorded scores of 86 in a quarterfinal, 121 in the semifinal, and 71 in championship rounds and secured the gold medal.
GERKEN Danielle defeated the PLATT Alexis of the Blue Mountain College with 71-59 scores.
In the Recurve Women Team’s competition, CASSIDY Kirsten of the University of California, Irvine remained dominant and qualified for the quarterfinal round with a score of 1053.

The Golden West College archery team performed well, and it scored the US Intercollegiate 3D Archery Championships on the strength of three gold medals in 2017.
During the Recurve men’s competition in the Intercollegiate 3D Archery Championship 2017, the Golden West College team remained dominant and got one individual gold medal.
The Basic Bow Women’s team competition got one gold medal.
In the Recurve Mixed Team’s competition, the team got another gold medal.
ZUMBO Matthew of the Golden West College remained dominant in the Recurve men’s competition by defeating CHALMERS Steven of the University of California, Irvine, and secured the gold medal.
In the Basic Bow Women’s competition, CRUZ Yvonne of the Golden West College also remained dominant by defeating Hearrin Briley of the
Kentucky Christian University and secured a gold medal in her name.
In the finals of the Recurve Mixed Team’s competition, CRUZ Yvonne and ZUMBO Matthew of the Golden West College defeated CASSIDY Kirsten and CHALMERS Steven of the University of California, Irvine.
They garnered the gold medal in their names.
In the Intercollegiate 3D Archery Championship 2017, only two Golden West College members participated and performed very well by getting three gold medals.
Out of three gold medals, one got by each individual, and one got in team composition for the Recurve Mixed Team.
9. Lindsey Wilson College
Lindsey Wilson College archery remained runner-up at the Mid-South Conference 3D Championship in 2021.
Lindsey Wilson College’ Blue Raiders performed well, and it scored the Mid-South Conference 3D Championship on the strength of nine gold medals in 2021.
In 2021, Lindsey Wilson College’s Blue Raiders’ total medal count was eighteen with nine gold, three silver, and six bronze medals.
In the Mid-South Conference 3D Championship 2021, the Blue Raiders remained dominant in the Recurve, barebow disciplines and garnered all gold medals.
In the Men’s Curve competition, Men’s barebow, and Women’s Bowhunter Team’s competition, Lindsey Wilson College Raiders garnered three silver medals at their names.
During the team shoots of Mid-South Conference 3D Championship 2021, the Blue Raiders won six team gold medals, winning in the Men’s Barebow, Men’s Bowhunter, Mixed Barebow, Mixed Compound, Women’s Recurve, and Mixed Recurve.
Britney McCarthy of Lindsey Wilson College remained dominant in the Women’s Barebow and posted a winning score of 296 and got an individual gold medal.
Sanchez of Lindsey Wilson College remained dominant in the Men’s Recurve competition and grabbed an individual gold medal.
Blue Raider Savannah Gould garnered an individual gold medal in the Women’s Recurve competition.
Cameron Curran won an individual silver medal in the Men’s Barebow competition.
Anna Krampe of Lindsey Wilson College got an individual silver medal in the Women’s Bowhunter competition.
Gabe Crenshaw also won an individual silver medal in the Men’s Recurve competition.
In the Men’s Barebow Team’s competition, Lindsey Wilson College defeated the University of the Cumberlands by 120-99 scores.
In the Men’s Bowhunter Team’s competition, Lindsey Wilson College grabbed the gold medal by defeating the University of the Cumberlands with 188-172 scores.
In the Mixed Barebow Team Bracket, Lindsey Wilson College garnered the gold medal by defeating the University of the Cumberlands through 94-81 scores.
In the Mixed Compound Team Bracket, Lindsey Wilson College defeated the University of the Cumberlands with 128-116 scores and got the gold medal.
In the Mixed Recurve Team Bracket, Women’s Recurve Team Bracket, and Men’s Recurve Team Bracket, Blue Raiders also remained prominent with gold medals.
10. Dine College
Dine College Warriors remained dominant in the West Region Intercollegiate Archery Championship in 2018 held at Fountain Valley USA.
Dine College’s Warriors performed well, and it scored in the West Region Intercollegiate Archery Championship on the strength of four gold medals in 2018.
In 2018, Dine College Warriors’ total medal count was nine with four gold and five silver medals.
The Warriors remained dominant in the Compound Men, Compound Women Team, Compound Mixed Team disciplines and garnered all gold medals.
In the Men’s Recurve Team, Recurve Women Team, Recurve Mixed Team, Recurve Men, and Compound Women’s team competitions, Dine College Warriors garnered five silver medals under their names.
Tsosie Aaron of Dine College remained outstanding in the Compound Men’s competition and got an individual gold medal.
Kaamasee Ethea of Dine College remained dominant in the Compound Women’s competition and grabbed an individual gold medal.
Three membWomeners of the Warrior, including Kaamasee Ethea, Sandoval Brennon, and Thompson Zedrakiah, teamed up and remained successful in the Compound Women Team’s competition by garnering a gold medal.
The Warrior, including Sandoval Brennon and TsosieAaron, teamed up for Compound Mixed Team’s competition and remained dominant by garnering a gold medal.
Three members of the Warrior, including Lorenzo-Martinez Chad, Nez Alexander, and Tso Andrew, formed up for the Recurve Men Team’s competition and remained successful by garnering a silver medal.
Three Warriors, including Begay Shawna, Vecenti Denise, and Willie Lorencita of Dine College, remained runner up from the University of California, Irvine team and secured the silver medal.
Two Dine College members formed a team, including Lorenzo-Martinez Chad and Vecenti Denise, for the Recurve Mixed Team’s competition and got the silver medal.
Lorenzo-Martinez Chad won a personal silver medal in the Recurve Men’s competition.
Sandoval Brennon of Dine College also got an individual silver medal in the Compound Women’s competition.

Archery is one of the best sports that can impact people’s lives in many different ways.
There is always that fine line between one thing and another, but that’s almost non-existent with archery.
This sport is something that provides competition from the enjoyment and enjoyment of the competition.
However, there are many pros to archery there are of course the cons, but just because they exist doesn’t mean they should restrict you from doing something you could and almost definitely will love.
